A Flower Field Frame Card

March 1, 2022

There's a brand new challenge on the Poppystamps Blog today and it's all about Pretty Paper. All of us collect beautiful printed paper, glitter paper, holographic paper, textured paper -- you name it, we got it, and we love it. Now's the time to pull out some pretty paper and a Poppystamps stamp or die and show us what you've got.

I took the brand new Poppystamps Flower Field Frame Die, Potpourri Flower Set, and the Memory Box Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad of 6x6 cardstock and got after it. The pad comes with both pearl-finish cardstock and metallic foil cardstock in 12 different shades.

For my sentiment, I stamped the Big Hugs stamp from the new Poppystamps Colorful Life clear stamp set in the middle of a card with embossing ink. I heat embossed this with clear embossing powder. Then I used Tattered Rose Distress Ink on a blending brush to go over the sentiment so it would stand out and still have a soft edge.

I cut a lot of individual flowers from the Potpourri set using the pearl-finish cardstock in a soft coral, a darker coral and a turquoise. I stacked these up to make more complex flowers and put a matching Poppystamps Fairy Jewel in the center of each. I scattered these around and adhered them to the Flower Field Frame I cut from white cardstock.

I attached the frame with foam adhesive to my embossed card front and my card was finished. I hope you're feeling some spring vibes today.
