At a scrapbook convention in Feb. 2019
My name is Janet Katz and I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, two dogs and a whole lot of koi in our koi pond. We're empty nesters, mostly retired, and I have more time than ever to enjoy my favorite hobby of papercrafting. I also enjoy the photography aspect of blogging, although it is a challenge. It has been a lifelong comfort to me. For a solid half-century it has made me smile and allowed me to lose myself in the process of creating.
This blog is named Tiny Paper Blossom for a few reasons. First, this blog is going to start small. That's the tiny part. Second, it will almost always be about paper. I do a little bit of hand embroidery, but it is not a passion for me the way papercrafting is. Third, I needed a third word. Seriously. I came up with Tiny and Paper and then I thought about what I'd want in my logo and I first thought of the word bouquet. But a bouquet is a collection. I will likely post one thing at a time, hence the word Blossom. And, like a lot of papercrafters, I often use tiny paper blossoms on cards and scrapbook layouts.
