Simple Summer Striped Card

June 4, 2022

I needed to get my creative juices flowing and found quite a few fun challenges in my recent search. This striped card was made for the Addicted to CAS #221 (code word Stripes) and the Fusion Card challenge posted May 26, using the sketch. I am also entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #164, (stripes, circle, free).

All the patterned paper I used was from My Favorite Things 6x6 Party Time Paper Pad. The stitched envelope and heart dies are both from Poppystamps. I cut two envelopes from patterned paper and used a small section of the whiter stripe paper to line the envelope with before I folded it and glued the flaps in place. The circle dies are from Stampin' Up! Stitched Shapes. Cardstock is all from Stampin' Up!: Real Red, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder (I think), and Island Indigo.

Assembly was simple and straightforward. I used either foam adhesive, Bearly Arts glue or a tape runner to adhere everything. Sentiment was printed from my computer using a favorite font of mine called Libel Suit.

  3. Janet, thanks for the ear worm! That song is going to be going around in my head all night :-) What a sweet little envelope and I love how the colors on the stripes echo the stripes that you used to anchor it. Gorgeous card. So glad you joined us at Addicted to CAS this week
